Working for yourself
Have a business idea? We help you check it, plan it and get it running.
A plan you can run
A business plan should be something you run your business from, not a document that sits in a drawer. That is the plan we build with you.
Built on real tools
Technology adds feasibility to the business. We break the business down task by task, so the plan says exactly how it runs.
Then we set up the business tools with you, and each task goes in step by step:
- A customer system (CRM) for customers and leads
- Scheduling for appointments and jobs
- Bookkeeping for sales and expenses
The plan lives in the tools you will actually use, so you can run the business from them on day one.
We can keep it as simple as pen and paper or go fully digital. That is your choice, worked out with your counselor.
Where assistive technology is needed, it is its own service with its own referral. We know both sides, so the plan and the technology fit together.
Three steps
- 1Check the idea (feasibility study)
- 2Build the plan (plan development)
- 3Get it going (consultation and implementation)
At the end of each step, you get it in writing: what we found and what we suggest. Then you and your counselor decide what comes next.
You can start from a new idea, a plan you already have, or a business that needs a reset.
You put in sweat equity from the first step. We are your business consultant. The business is yours.
Is this for you?
It is for you if you want to work for yourself and you work with a Vocational Rehabilitation counselor. You may have an idea to test, or want to know what running it would take.
Why work with us
- The plan is built to be used, not filed.
- We know business tools and assistive technology, and we check each against the other so they fit.
- Each step ends in writing, so you know where things stand.
In person and online
We meet in person in every step. In between, we work remotely when it fits and you, your counselor and we agree.
Get started
You decide whether to go ahead. Your VR counselor makes the decisions about services.
To start, ask your counselor about a referral, or write to [email protected]. We answer in writing.
